Research interests
My research activity is dedicated to Strongly Correlated Systems in a variety of platforms. The core activity is the study of strongly correlated and quantum materials, with a particular emphasis on high-temperature superconductivity and other remarkable phases. In the years I extended the palette of topics touching the realm of topological matter (typically with at least a bit of interactions) and different quantum simulators. I enjoy a large network of collaborations, including those with experimental groups in Italy and abroad.
My most recent research lines are:
- How to optimize superconductivity?
- Electron-phonon interaction and correlations: Friends, enemies or somehow both?
- Methods for Strongly Correlated Electron Systems: From DMFT and beyond, but sometimes backwards
- Orbital Selective Mott physics in materials and quantum simulators
Quantum Information Theory of Strongly Correlated Quantum States
Non-equilibrium dynamics in high-temperature superconductors and other correlated materials
Inhomogeneous Superconductors: Interfaces, disordered materials, confined geometries
