My research activity focuses on the physics of strongly-correlated quantum systems in optical lattices, with particular attention to the collective excitations driving quantum correlations in these systems. This investigation is performed through a recently developed technique  based on a quantization of the Lagrangian functional of the Gutzwiller approximation.
As well as understanding the features of quantum fluctuations in Bose and Fermi-Hubbard models, I am currently working also on strong-correlation effects emerging in open quantum systems from a many-body perspective, either undergoing pure dephasing or driven-dissipatively stabilized.
